The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur reported that a severe cyclonic storm, Montha, is currently influencing the Bay of Bengal near the Andhra Pradesh coast.
Additionally, a depression remains over the central Arabian Sea, complemented by a circulation system situated over northeastern Rajasthan and adjacent regions. Officials confirmed that the southern and eastern sections of Rajasthan have already recorded significant rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The highest precipitation of 130 mm was noted in Nainwa, part of Bundi district.
Areas such as Udaipur, Kota, and surrounding districts may experience isolated heavy rain on Tuesday, while Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and segments of Jodhpur divisions may see light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, according to officials.
Rainfall activities are expected to taper off from October 29, although light to moderate showers might persist in the southern and southeastern districts for the next 4–5 days. The western border regions of Rajasthan, including the Bikaner Division and the Shekhawati region, are anticipated to remain dry during this time.
A new western disturbance is projected to activate around November 3, bringing forth light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms to regions in both western and eastern Rajasthan.
