New Delhi, Oct 27 (NationPress) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised an orange alert for three districts in Maharashtra, forecasting moderate rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning. Wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of 30-40 km per hour from Monday through Tuesday, according to a press release from the weather department.
The districts under the orange alert include Dhule, Nandurbar, and Nashik, as stated on Sunday.
For Dhule, from Sunday at 8:30 p.m. to Monday at 8:30 a.m., the IMD predicts thunderstorms with lightning, moderate rain, and gusty winds up to 40-50 km per hour in isolated areas. On Tuesday, Dhule is expected to encounter light to moderate rain/thundershowers.
In Nandurbar, from Monday at 8:30 a.m. to Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., the IMD anticipates thunderstorms with lightning, moderate rainfall, and gusty winds reaching 40-50 km/h in isolated locations.
