In a Year, the Bhajanlal Government Wins Over the Citizens

Jaipur, Dec 15 (NationPress) Although only a year has elapsed since the BJP-led Bhajanlal administration assumed power in Rajasthan, it has successfully earned the admiration of the public through various welfare initiatives, significant development projects, and an influx of crores of rupees invested into the state.

Additionally, the BJP's triumph in five out of seven seats during the by-elections has altered the political landscape, particularly following the party's loss of eight seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

Significantly, the state government achieved a historic milestone by finalizing MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.

However, the administration is currently addressing concerns surrounding paper leaks and district formations.

Despite the public's positive reception of the government, as evidenced by the by-election outcomes, the opposition continues to launch fierce critiques over various issues.

In the paper leak controversy, Rajasthan Public Service Commission member Babulal Katara and former member Ramuram Raika were detained, yet the opposition is attempting to pressure the government regarding the bail granted to 26 trainee Sub-Inspectors (SIs).

The opposition consistently highlights the matter of new district formations, which were proposed by the previous Gehlot administration.

The Bhajanlal government has established a review committee to evaluate the viability of these district formations, with speculation suggesting that several smaller districts may be dissolved. However, no definitive decisions have been reached, contributing to an atmosphere of uncertainty.

Even though the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) was granted national status after the BJP took office, and an MoU was executed between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh regarding the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC)-ERCP river interlinking initiative, the opposition has criticized the government for not disclosing the MoU, leading to speculation about its contents.

Nevertheless, veteran BJP leader Rajendra Rathore stated, "Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has emerged as the 'modern Bhagirath' of Rajasthan and is dedicated to supplying drinking water to 21 districts through the revised ERCP."

The BJP's success in the by-elections—winning five out of seven seats—has allowed the party to recover from its Lok Sabha setbacks, placing Chief Minister Bhajan Lal in a more robust political position.

However, Congress leaders, including state president Govind Singh Dotasra, have accused the BJP administration of not delivering on its commitments. The Bhajanlal government has four additional years to craft a new narrative of growth while navigating challenges.
