Patna, July 30 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav announced on Wednesday that the INDIA Bloc is gearing up to initiate a comprehensive campaign across Bihar, with rallies planned in all nine divisions following the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

The upcoming rallies will showcase prominent national figures, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and various representatives from the Left parties.

Tejashwi Yadav emphasized, "We will conduct joint campaigns throughout the nine divisions of Bihar, featuring a major rally in each division. Leaders such as Rahul Gandhi and other allies from the INDIA Bloc will take part. The specific rally route will be determined soon," he informed the media in Patna after a meeting of the coordination committee.

Stressing the significance of August, Tejashwi noted, "August is recognized for its revolutions (Kranti). This time, Bihar will experience a new Kranti."

The opposition's campaign aims to highlight various issues, including alleged election manipulation and extensive corruption within the current state government under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Yadav criticized the Nitish-led NDA government in light of a recent CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) report, which indicated that the Bihar government had not provided utilization certificates for Rs 80,000 crore allocated to various departments.

"These are taxpayer funds, and there is no accountability regarding the use of this substantial amount. Nitish Kumar consistently claims that there is zero corruption in his administration. Then why has his government failed to submit adequate records to the CAG?" Yadav questioned.

In response to the impending visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Sitamarhi, Tejashwi challenged the BJP leadership.

He asked, "Will Amit Shah confront the rampant corruption of the Nitish-BJP government, or will he defend it?"

Tejashwi also mocked the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, alleging that the Election Commission was colluding with the BJP to manipulate electoral rolls.

"Fake certificates are being generated. A residence certificate was issued to 'Dog Babu', and a Sonalika tractor was registered bearing the image of Bhojpuri actress Monalisa. Previously, even Sunny Leone received a certificate in Bihar," Yadav noted.

He asserted that such glaring irregularities during the Special Intensive Revision of the voter list reflect an effort to manipulate votes in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Point of View

Tejashwi Yadav's statements reflect a critical stance on the current government's accountability and transparency. The INDIA Bloc's push for rallies throughout Bihar aims to galvanize public sentiment against alleged corruption and electoral malpractice, potentially reshaping the political landscape ahead of the Assembly elections.
