India hosts BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting on May 14-15 in New Delhi
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will chair the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting hosted by India on 14–15 May 2026 in New Delhi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Tuesday. Foreign ministers and heads of delegations from BRICS member and partner countries will participate, and will also call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during their visit.
What the Two-Day Meeting Covers
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, addressing the weekly media briefing on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, outlined the agenda. On the first day, BRICS foreign ministers will exchange views on global and regional issues of mutual interest. The second day will feature a broader session with both member and partner countries, themed 'BRICS at 20: Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability', followed by a dedicated session on reforms of the global governance and multilateral system.
