Will India Save 7,500 Million Litres of Diesel Annually? Union Minister Vaishnaw Announces Three New Trains for MP

Bhopal, May 29 (NationPress) The Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Thursday that the implementation of the third and fourth railway lines as part of the Ratlam-Nagda railway multi-tracking project in Madhya Pradesh will lead to a significant reduction in fuel usage, achieving an annual savings of approximately 7.5 crore litres of diesel.

In addition to fuel savings, this initiative is projected to prevent the release of 38 crore kg of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere—an environmental advantage equivalent to planting 1.5 crore trees.

The central government has also revealed plans to launch three new train services for Madhya Pradesh, which will improve connectivity across vital routes.

These new train routes will include services on the Rewa-Pune path via Satna and Jabalpur, Jabalpur-Raipur via Nainpur and Gondia, and Gwalior-Bengaluru via Bhopal and Pune.

"These areas are predominantly tribal, and they will benefit the most from these developments," stated Union Minister Vaishnaw during a video conference.

Regarding the Gwalior-Bengaluru train service, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently shared his gratitude on his official X account, saying, "A new train will soon operate between Guna and Bengaluru... I extend my heartfelt thanks to @RailMinIndia for approving this new service on my special request. I am particularly grateful to Union Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw ji for addressing the long-standing demand of Gwalior-Chambal passengers. Those in the Guna region, especially young professionals working in Bengaluru, will soon have access to this railway service."

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav confirmed that the Ratlam-Nagda railway multi-tracking project has received official approval, representing a major enhancement to the state’s railway infrastructure.

This initiative is anticipated to boost transportation efficiency and ensure a smoother travel experience for passengers.

Union Minister Vaishnaw officially announced the project approval for the third and fourth railway lines in the Ratlam-Nagda section under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Master Plan.

Attending the event was Ujjain-Alot MP Anil Firojiya, while Chief Minister Yadav participated virtually.

Vaishnaw highlighted that this advancement marks a crucial milestone in the infrastructural development of Madhya Pradesh.

"Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, infrastructure projects are being approved rapidly to promote development. The Ratlam-Nagda railway section, which spans 41 km, is set to evolve into a four-track corridor with an estimated cost of Rs 1,018 crore," stated the Union Minister.

In addition to the multi-tracking project, Union Minister Vaishnaw reiterated that Madhya Pradesh will soon gain from the newly introduced train services, ensuring enhanced accessibility and regional connectivity.

Previously, two months ago, a new railway service was inaugurated connecting New Delhi to Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow), further fortifying travel options for commuters.

Through these strategic investments, the state government aims to modernize railway networks, minimize environmental impact, and facilitate seamless transport for residents across Madhya Pradesh.
