New Delhi, May 6 (NationPress) BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain asserted that India stands ready to deliver a decisive and robust reply to Pakistan following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. He highlighted that the forthcoming mock drill is a crucial aspect of the nation's defense strategy against any malevolent actions by its adversaries.

In an interview with IANS, Hussain remarked, “Pakistan orchestrated the Pahalgam terror attack to sow discord among us. Our nation has faith in its Prime Minister, military, and government. We must remain vigilant. Tomorrow's mock drill is designed to ensure that if the enemy attempts any hostile actions, we can respond decisively. This exercise is integral to our preparedness. Pakistan will receive a strong, uncompromising response.”

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the mock drill will be conducted across 244 Civil Defence districts nationwide on Wednesday. “The exercise will extend down to the village level. Its objective is to evaluate and strengthen the readiness of Civil Defence systems throughout all States and Union Territories,” the notification stated.

Hussain also criticized Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani for his recent comments implying that India should not restrict Pakistan's water supply.

“Madani needs to understand that Pakistan has shed our blood, and he suggests we should not even halt their water? Not only water, but we will also stop the wind! Now, no aircraft can traverse our skies. No trade will occur across the seas. We will ensure Pakistan learns a lesson on land,” Hussain asserted.

In response to Congress leaders making light of the Rafale jets, Hussain accused the party of being negligent in its responsibilities.

“The Congress party is jeopardizing national interests. After the horrific incident in Pahalgam on April 22, where victims were targeted based on their religion and the recitation of the 'Kalma', it is evident that Pakistan's attempt to divide India along religious lines was thwarted by our firm stance. While Congress claims to support the nation, leaders like Siddaramaiah oppose warfare, and ministers ridicule the Pulwama attack and our response. Ajay Rai mocked Rafale; this is language aligned with Pakistan. The populace is frustrated with Congress, and if they persist, the citizens will respond,” he cautioned.

Point of View

It is crucial to recognize the importance of a united front in the face of external threats. The statements made by Shahnawaz Hussain highlight the need for preparedness and resilience in national defense, while also calling for responsible discourse among political leaders.
