Jaisalmer, April 26 (NationPress) Following the Pahalgam terror attack, there are rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border, and the nation is entirely equipped to provide a stern response to Pakistan and the terrorist factions it supports, affirmed BSF Company Commander Akhilesh.
Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge made to the nation on Thursday in Madhubani, Bihar, where he stated that India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their supporters, as well as pursue them relentlessly, the senior BSF officer expressed to the citizens that India is fully prepared to deliver a robust reply to terrorists, as highlighted by the Prime Minister in his recent address.
He further stated: "The BSF is entirely prepared and has heightened its vigilance along the border with Pakistan. Our preparations are thorough; we have bolstered our logistics and manpower along the border. Although the atmosphere is currently tense, an order from higher headquarters is awaited."
The BSF personnel are monitoring every movement of the adversary, Pakistan, and its affiliated terror groups, he emphasized.
The International Border between India and Pakistan in Rajasthan stretches over 1,000 km.
"During the 1971 war, Pakistan faced defeat at the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan," the BSF officer remarked.
"In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan is apprehensive, aware that India will retaliate with full preparedness, which is why there is significant unrest on the other side of the border. Consequently, Pakistan has augmented its military presence."
"The BSF, along with intelligence and other central agencies, is vigilantly monitoring every action of the hostile nation," he noted.
The BSF soldiers are maintaining surveillance over the India-Pakistan International Border, he reiterated.
"While keeping watch, the BSF soldiers expressed that we are ready to confront any situation, including those posed by the terrorists responsible for the horrific events in Pahalgam. Since then, there has been a surge of anger not just among the citizens but also among us (the security forces). We are determined to give a decisive response to any enemy actions," he stated.
The BSF Company Commander also pointed out: "Numerous hideouts of terrorist organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hafiz Saeed, and ISIS are present along the India-Pakistan border, both within Rajasthan and across it."
