New Delhi, Feb 2 (NationPress) Former actress and founder of the Ishika Shree Mahalakshmi Foundation, Ishika Taneja, emphasized the importance of reconnecting with India’s cultural heritage while advocating for the concept of a Hindu nation. She asserted that spiritual values, community service, and strength are essential for the nation's advancement.
Having transitioned from the glamour industry to a spiritual leader, Ishika Taneja, who embraced Sanatan Dharma at the Maha Kumbh, is now dedicated to motivating the youth to pursue a religious path. Under the auspices of the Shri Mahalakshmi Foundation, she has initiated the 'Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan'.
Ishika articulated that the primary goal of her initiative is to assist individuals both in India and globally in recognizing and honoring the myriad forms of Goddess Lakshmi. She also commented on the Union Budget presented on February 1, predicting that while the dollar may weaken, the rupee will gain strength.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Ishika Taneja stated, “Today marks the launch of the Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan through the Shri Mahalakshmi Foundation. The central aim of this campaign is to connect the eight forms of Ashta Lakshmi with various pillars of society. Gaja Lakshmi symbolizes our ministers, Veer Lakshmi represents our Army, Vijay Lakshmi embodies our judiciary, Santan Lakshmi signifies today’s youth, and Aishwarya Lakshmi represents our media and social media. We aim to link all these with Dharma, and this is the initiative we are pursuing across eight states.”
She added that delegations from both India and abroad are participating in the campaign. “Our Sanatan Dharma is incredibly inclusive and valuable, attracting individuals from other nations to connect with it,” she remarked.
Addressing the notion of a Hindu nation, Ishika Taneja stated, “Our country will evolve into a Hindu Rashtra only when we acknowledge our roots and comprehend Sanatan Dharma. Presently, on a global scale, Goddess Lakshmi is often linked with corruption, but it is vital to reconnect her with the essence of Dharma and service. This is the trajectory that will guide India towards becoming a Hindu nation.”
Regarding the Union Budget, the former actress mentioned that it encapsulates the principles of Hinduism and Sanatan values. “The budget is a manifestation of Lakshmi and was unveiled on the auspicious day of Maghi Purnima, which was a Sunday. Like our nation and faith, the budget is inclusive and caters to all segments of society. Through the Mahalakshmi Bharat Abhiyan, we aspire to unify every sector and witness the triumph of saffron across the nation,” she concluded.
Notably, Ishika Taneja transitioned away from the world of glamour to embrace a spiritual journey during the Maha Kumbh in 2025.
