New Delhi, Nov 2 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for its successful launch of the country’s heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03.

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister expressed, “Our space sector continues to make us proud! Congratulations, ISRO, on the successful launch of India’s heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03.”

He remarked, “Driven by our space scientists, it is remarkable how our space sector has become a hallmark of excellence and innovation. Their achievements have propelled national development and uplifted countless lives,” added PM Modi.

The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, also conveyed his “heartfelt congratulations” to ISRO and the Indian Navy following the successful launch of the CMS-03 communication satellite.

The Vice-President celebrated the milestone, stating, “India’s powerful LVM3-M5 rocket soared into the sky, successfully delivering GSAT-7R (CMS-03), the heaviest and most advanced communication satellite for the Indian Navy, into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.”

He emphasized that this indigenously developed satellite will greatly enhance space-based communications, connectivity, and maritime domain awareness throughout the Indian Ocean Region, marking another significant achievement in the quest for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Commending the relentless efforts of Indian scientists and engineers, the Vice-President noted that ISRO continues to achieve extraordinary milestones in the field of space exploration.

The launch of CMS-03, executed aboard the LVM3-M5 rocket from Sriharikota, was labeled by experts as a “remarkable accomplishment,” once again showcasing India’s growing capabilities in launching heavy-payload satellites for strategic and communication needs.

Lt. Gen. AK Bhatt (Retd.), Director General of the Indian Space Association, regarded the event as a pivotal moment for India’s space capabilities.

“The successful deployment of the CMS-03 satellite by the LVM3 rocket (Bahubali) is a monumental achievement for India, showcasing our sovereign ability in launching heavy-payload satellites for strategic purposes,” he declared.

“This satellite will be transformational for our maritime and national security, offering advanced, secure communication channels crucial for the Indian Ocean Region and mainland,” Bhatt further noted.

The LVM3-M5, commonly referred to as the ‘Bahubali’ rocket, successfully lifted off with the CMS-03 satellite and placed it into its designated orbit.

This launch signifies a new chapter in India’s space endeavors, underscoring the nation’s self-sufficiency in developing and deploying cutting-edge space technologies.
