Jana Sena Party on Friday, 19 June inaugurated its Telangana state office in Manikonda, Hyderabad, with party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan declaring that the party will accelerate its political journey across the state. The launch marks Jana Sena's formal organisational expansion into Telangana, following similar moves in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

What Pawan Kalyan Said at the Inauguration

Addressing party leaders after the office opening, Kalyan stressed that people's problems must form the core of the party's agenda. He called on cadres to work toward fulfilling Telangana's aspirations and said the nation's integrity and unity should remain the first priority.

Invoking an emotional connect with the region, Kalyan said: 'The soil here, the struggles, the sacrifices — all of these have inspired me. The caste-free struggles for rights led by the youth in Telangana are immensely valuable. This is a land of struggles… a blessed land. The Jana Sena movement began from the soil of Telangana.'

Janavani Programme Planned for Telangana

A key directive from Kalyan was the launch of the Janavani — a public grievance outreach programme — across all regions of Telangana. He outlined a structured approach: listen to people's problems with respect, escalate unresolved issues to officials and public representatives, and, if those still remain unaddressed, consider launching public movements.

'First, set up a platform to fully hear people's issues. Ensure this works strongly in all regions,' Kalyan told party workers, providing a step-by-step roadmap for grassroots engagement.

Historical and Ideological Context

Kalyan described Telangana as 'the heart of India,' invoking the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's five-day Police Action in Hyderabad as a symbol of national integrity. He urged party leaders to fight with the same spirit for the region and its people, calling Telangana's history of struggle an inspiration for the entire nation.

He also directed senior leaders to mentor newcomers in the party's ideology, ensuring a coherent expansion of Jana Sena's principles across Telangana's diverse regions.

Jana Sena's Expanding Footprint

Beyond Telangana, Kalyan confirmed that the Jana Sena movement has commenced in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka as well, signalling an ambition to build a multi-state presence beyond the party's traditional Andhra Pradesh base. The Telangana office launch is seen as a significant step in that broader southern expansion strategy.

With a state office now operational and a Janavani programme in the pipeline, Jana Sena's next moves in Telangana — particularly ahead of future electoral cycles — will be closely watched.
