Jammu, April 4 (NationPress) The budget session for the year 2026–2027 of the J&K Legislative Assembly concluded on Saturday, with Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather adjourning the Assembly sine die.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and various legislators praised the Speaker for the seamless and effective management of the Budget Session 2026.

The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the Speaker’s expertise and leadership, remarking that, despite typical challenges and differing opinions, the proceedings were conducted in a well-ordered and efficient manner.

He stated that all legislators, especially those serving their first term, gained immensely from the Speaker’s guidance, which provided them with an opportunity to understand the intricacies of legislative processes.

On the final day, Members from various parties expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Speaker for the smooth, efficient, and impartial handling of the Budget Session 2026.

Legislators including Surjeet Singh Slathia, M.Y. Tarigami, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, Sajad Gani Lone, Pirzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, Tanvir Sadiq, Mir Saifullah, Rafiq Ahmad Naik, Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi), Sajjad Shaheen, Aijaz Ahmad Jan, and Salman Sagar voiced their appreciation for the Speaker.
