Ranchi, April 26 (NationPress) In a significant operation targeting terror networks, the Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) executed raids at various locations throughout the state on Saturday, resulting in the detention of four individuals — three men and one woman. During these operations, the team confiscated laptops, smartphones, diaries, and other incriminating materials.

This crackdown is a response to the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people.

In light of potential connections and growing security alarms, Jharkhand ATS units initiated synchronized raids in the districts of Dhanbad and Koderma.

In Dhanbad, operations were conducted in Wasseypur, Pandarpala, Azad Nagar, Aman Society, and A Block of Bhuli.

Concurrently, a team was dispatched to Koderma, where reports indicated the abduction of a youth from the Darjichak area. ATS officials are actively investigating leads across various other districts as part of their inquiry.

Sources indicate that those detained have been identified as Shabnam from Shamsher Nagar in Wasseypur, Ayan Javed from Azad Nagar, and Yusuf and Kaushar from Pandarpala.

The arrests occurred early on Saturday morning, around 6 a.m. During the raids, ATS personnel retrieved several electronic devices, including laptops, smartphones, diaries, and a pen drive, which are currently under analysis for evidence pertaining to terror activities and anti-national operations.

The ATS suspects the group’s involvement in promoting jihadi ideology and other illegal activities designed to jeopardize national security.

Investigators are also examining the possibility of weapon stockpiling. In one of the searches, the ATS targeted the residence of Haroon Rashid alias Guddu in Bhuli A Block, specifically looking for an AK-47 rifle.

Although no weapons have been recovered yet during the raid, a pen drive was taken into custody, and Rashid’s family members are presently being interrogated for further details.

In addition to ATS and Jaguar personnel, local police teams from Dhanbad, Barwada, Kenduadih, Putki, and Tetulmari police stations provided crucial logistical and on-ground support for the operation.
