Jim Rogers Claims He Hasn't Seen George Soros in Half a Century

New Delhi, Dec 4 (NationPress) Renowned American investor and financial analyst Jim Rogers disclosed that he has not encountered US billionaire George Soros -- with whom he co-founded the Quantum Fund many years ago -- for almost 50 years and no longer communicates with him.

In 1970, Rogers began his career at the New York investment bank Arnhold and S Bleichroeder, where he collaborated with Soros. By 1973, both left to establish the Quantum Fund, recognized as one of the first truly global investment funds.

During an interview with IANS, Rogers mentioned that he hasn't seen Soros in nearly five decades.

When asked if he maintains contact with the Hungarian-American billionaire and philanthropist Soros, known for stirring controversies -- including attempts to undermine the Indian economy while donating millions to Democratic campaigns in the recent US elections -- Rogers categorically denied any communication or meetings with him over the years.

I don't have any thoughts on Soros. I haven't seen him in nearly 50 years,” he stated.

Now based in Singapore, Rogers serves as the chairman of Beeland Interests Inc. and is the architect of the Rogers International Commodities Index (RICI).

Between 1973 and 1980, the Quantum Fund's portfolio skyrocketed by an astonishing 4,200 percent, while the S&P index only rose by about 47 percent.

In subsequent years, the Fund faced significant losses in its global investments, and in July 2011, the Quantum Fund announced its transition into a family investment group.

The Quantum Group of Funds is now reportedly overseeing Soros' family wealth and collaborating with retail investors.

Rogers remarked that the Quantum Fund experience was a matter of “decades ago.”

“I don't know anything about Mr. Soros. I don't see him, I don't talk to him, and I am unaware of his activities,” the 82-year-old Rogers expressed to IANS.

Soros and his multi-billion dollar network have previously attempted to destabilize India and have launched multiple attacks against wealth creators in the country, but these efforts have been unsuccessful.
