The diverse gifts included Kashmiri saffron, Maharashtra handicrafts, Assam tea, intricately designed marble chess, and the Russian version of the Bhagavad Gita.
Kashmiri saffron, known locally as 'Zafran', is grown in Jammu and Kashmir, celebrated for its vibrant color, enticing aroma, and rich flavor, as well as its multiple health advantages.

By promoting its cultivation, we can gain greater global recognition, leading to improved job opportunities for the youth and lessening unemployment. Jammu and Kashmir is the top saffron producer, and this selection by our Prime Minister is a source of pride for us.”
Tourists visiting Kashmir also welcomed this initiative. One tourist stated, "PM Modi’s gift of Kashmiri saffron to Putin has sparked our interest.
