Mysuru, Sep 26 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for its inadequate recruitment efforts, stating it is unjust to leave candidates in distress by prolonging the hiring process.
While addressing reporters in Mysuru, he remarked, "Various states are actively conducting recruitments, yet Karnataka's state administration has lagged behind. I have taken notice of the significant protests by candidates in Dharwad city regarding this issue."
He pointed out that numerous vacancies in crucial sectors, including the Police and Revenue departments, remain unaddressed.
The Congress-led state government has failed to initiate new recruitment, heightening the anxiety of job seekers within the state, he noted.
"Individuals awaiting job opportunities are increasingly concerned about surpassing the age limit, which has driven many to protest in the streets. It is unacceptable for the state government to leave numerous positions unfilled. Even if new roles aren’t created, at the very least, the existing vacancies need to be addressed," said Union Minister Joshi.
Addressing worries surrounding the recruitment of Sub-Inspector positions in the Police Department, he stated, "I spoke with the Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner, who indicated that the recruitment is in progress. However, the state government needs to clarify its position on age relaxation to prevent candidates from being left in a state of uncertainty."
"Recruitments are being conducted in various states. For instance, in Rajasthan, over 15,000 candidates received appointment letters just yesterday (September 25) in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Conversely, Karnataka has not made any such advancements, which has understandably led to fears regarding age-relaxation and subsequent protests among candidates," he added.
