Karnataka Tragedy: Newborn Disposed of in Hospital Toilet

Ramanagara, Nov 28 (NationPress) In a shocking incident that occurred in Harohalli, located in Karnataka's Ramnagar district, a newborn baby was discovered having been flushed down a hospital's toilet.

According to police reports, the baby's remains were located within the toilet situated on the ground floor of the medical facility.

The situation came to light when staff noticed a clog in the toilet and called upon sweepers and plumbers to address the issue.

While the cleaning team was resolving the blockage in the commode, they identified an obstruction in the water flow. Initially, they presumed it to be a piece of cloth or some other waste material. However, they were horrified to uncover the body of the newborn, as stated by law enforcement.

The body was retrieved using specialized tools intended for clearing clogged toilets.

Authorities believe the infant was approximately one or two days old.

Investigators suspect that the incident transpired on Wednesday night.

This discovery has left the hospital's medical personnel and the local community utterly appalled.

The police have proceeded to send the body for a postmortem examination.

Investigators suspect that the perpetrator may have attempted to conceal the birth of the child.

This occurrence has sparked public outrage.

The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter and have begun interrogations regarding the case.

Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the hospital to gather information about the movements of potential suspects.

According to the police, they had not received any reports regarding a missing newborn, leading them to believe that the mother might be involved in this act, or that the baby was transported from another location.

Further details are pending.

Earlier, on November 6, a month-old baby girl was found deceased in an overhead water tank at her grandparents' residence in Bengaluru. Authorities suspect the mother’s involvement in the girl's demise. The Surya City police had opened a murder investigation and concluded that the mother had inadvertently caused the baby girl's death and disposed of her body in the tank.
