Bengaluru, May 27 (NationPress) Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar declared on Tuesday that the state administration will safeguard its assets vigorously regarding the proposed transfer of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a leading defense manufacturing entity overseen by the Centre and located in Bengaluru, to Andhra Pradesh.
During a press interaction at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters, Shivakumar stated, "HAL was established in Bengaluru not by any BJP administration but by the late former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who recognized the region's technical expertise."
He continued, "I will not meddle in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's political appeal to the Centre. We have allocated ample land to HAL and have also facilitated land for a helicopter unit in Tumakuru for HAL. They are welcome to set up any new ventures in Andhra Pradesh; we will not obstruct them. However, our (Congress) government will do everything necessary to defend our state's assets."

If there are plans to relocate it, it's the duty of BJP MPs to prevent that. If they simply submit to the BJP High Command, it would be a betrayal of our state," Minister Patil emphasized.
