Kejriwal Promises Education Transformation as UPSC Mentor Avadh Ojha Joins AAP

New Delhi, Dec 2 (NationPress) The AAP is dedicated to upholding its principles to combat corruption and enhance education and health services. To achieve this, the party is bringing in experts from these domains into politics to benefit society, stated former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday.
During a press conference to welcome educationist and UPSC trainer Avadh Ojha into the AAP, Kejriwal remarked, “His involvement with the AAP will fortify the education sector and aid in nation-building.”
Kejriwal praised Ojha’s societal contributions, saying, “We have a background in NGO work, and Ojha’s influence in education and the employment sector will be immensely impactful.”
The AAP National Convenor noted that while he was part of an NGO, he realized that engaging in politics would allow him to facilitate change on a broader scale rather than just assisting a few slum areas in east Delhi. Therefore, the party has opted to bring in specialists from various sectors.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia welcomed Ojha into the party, stating, “While other parties recruit politicians before elections, I am glad to see an educationist join us.”
“This demonstrates the AAP’s focus and dedication to enhancing educational facilities in Delhi,” he added.
Ojha expressed gratitude to Kejriwal and other AAP leaders for the chance to contribute to the education sector through politics.
“My goal is to support the education sector,” declared the educator and motivational speaker, who is originally from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
“In 2015, merely 15 students from government schools qualified for the IIT–Mains, but this year the figure has surged to 783,” Ojha emphasized, underlining the AAP government's accomplishments in Delhi's education arena.
Although he mentioned he would accept any responsibilities assigned by the AAP, sources indicated that Ojha might be nominated as a candidate in the forthcoming assembly elections.
The AAP announced on Sunday its intention to contest the next Delhi Assembly elections independently.
The party has decided against renewing its alliance with the Congress, as was done during the Lok Sabha elections.
As the Assembly elections in February approach, the AAP has already released an initial list of 11 candidates.
Included in this list are Brahm Singh Tanwar (Chhatarpur), Anil Jha (Kirari), and B.B. Tyagi (Laxmi Nagar), all of whom recently transitioned to the AAP from the BJP.
Other candidates disclosed by the AAP are Zubair Choudhary (Seelampur), Veer Singh Dhingan (Seemapuri), and Sumesh Shokeen (Matiala), all of whom left the Congress to join the AAP.
