New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has pledged to prioritize job creation and eliminate unemployment in the national capital during the next five years if he is re-elected in the upcoming Assembly elections on February 5.

As the Delhi Assembly elections approach, Kejriwal emphasized his government's previous accomplishments while recognizing the urgent matter of joblessness.

In a video announcement, Kejriwal expressed, "I am campaigning throughout Delhi. Over the years, we have tackled numerous challenges faced by residents, especially in education, health, road infrastructure, electricity, and water supply. However, it pains me to see our youth after finishing their education remaining at home, searching for jobs. Some, regrettably, find themselves in negative influences and drift towards crime, making it incredibly challenging to reintegrate them into society."

The AAP National Convenor added, "Today, much of the distress and issues faced by families are rooted in unemployment. I have resolved that in the next five years, alongside other developmental initiatives, my primary focus will be to eradicate unemployment in Delhi and generate job opportunities for our youth."

Kejriwal mentioned that his team is diligently formulating a detailed strategy to address this challenge.

The AAP leader further underscored the commitment and talent of his team, stating, "We have an outstanding group of educated, dedicated, and patriotic individuals. We are committed to providing jobs for our youth."

Recalling a moment from the COVID lockdown, Kejriwal noted, "When everything was closed, we successfully arranged jobs for 1.2 million people with the assistance of the Delhi government."

Comparing with Punjab, he said, "Our government in Punjab has already created 48,000 government jobs for youth and facilitated private employment for over 300,000 students in just two years. We can replicate this success in Delhi."

Kejriwal concluded with an appeal for public support, stating, "I cannot do this alone, but with your backing, we can achieve this."

This declaration comes as the AAP reveals its commitments and gears up for the forthcoming elections.
