New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) AAP National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal exercised his right to vote on Wednesday in the Delhi Assembly Elections.

Joined by family, Kejriwal opted to walk from his home to the polling station at Lady Irwin School, showcasing his dedication to the democratic system.

Prior to casting his vote, Kejriwal utilized the social media platform X to motivate the residents of Delhi to vote for a promising future for their children.

In his message, he stated, "Dear Delhiites, today is the day to vote. Your vote is not merely a button; it is the cornerstone of your children’s bright future. It is a chance to ensure quality schools, top-notch hospitals, and a dignified life for every family."

Highlighting the significance of this election, Kejriwal urged voters to reject divisive politics.

"Today, we must overcome the politics of deceit, animosity, and fear, and allow truth, progress, and integrity to prevail. Vote for yourself and inspire your family, friends, and neighbors to do the same," he added in his announcement.

Meanwhile, voting commenced early in the morning and will run until 6 p.m. Authorities have intensified security measures at nearly 3,000 sensitive polling booths, deploying 220 paramilitary force companies, 35,626 personnel from the Delhi Police, and 19,000 Home Guards. Drone surveillance and Quick Reaction Teams have been established to maintain law and order.

The outcomes of this election will reveal whether the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) retains its dominance, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) makes a comeback, or the Congress resurfaces as a competitor. The results will be announced on February 8.
