Patna, April 20 (NationPress) Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a fierce critique against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a rally in Bihar's Buxar district on Sunday.

Addressing a substantial crowd, Kharge charged the Modi administration with utilizing Central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to threaten opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

“PM Modi, you are employing the ED to instill fear. However, let it be known -- neither Sonia Gandhi nor Rahul Gandhi is intimidated by your coercive strategies,” Kharge proclaimed.

The Congress leader challenged the BJP regarding its achievements over the past 11 years, asking PM Modi to identify any original concept his government has introduced.

In contrast, he underscored the Congress party's historical contributions, referencing institutions like AIIMS, IITs, IIMs, ED, and CBI as groundbreaking initiatives by leaders like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

“What has the BJP or RSS delivered to this nation? Can they list even one institution that embodies a national vision?” he inquired.

Kharge further lauded Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s appointment as Law Minister under Nehru, emphasizing the Congress’ essential role in constructing modern India.

In a striking moment, Kharge showcased a video clip of PM Modi’s past campaign speeches on an iPad, reminding attendees of the unfulfilled promises from the 2014 general elections.

He highlighted numerous broken pledges, such as the return of black money within 100 days, depositing Rs 15 lakh into every citizen’s bank account, generating two crore jobs annually, granting special status to Bihar, and delivering a Rs 1.25 lakh crore special package for the state.

“Have any of these promises been kept?” Kharge questioned the audience, calling for accountability from the BJP.

Kharge also directed his criticism at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, labeling him a “paltimar” (turncoat) and attributing the BJP's dominance to his frequent political realignments.

“Individuals like Nitish Kumar continually change allegiances merely to maintain power. If voters dismiss Nitish Kumar, the BJP will collapse automatically,” he asserted.

He concluded by urging support for the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) in the forthcoming elections, stressing the necessity to combat divisive politics and restore democratic ideals.
