New Delhi, Feb 16 (NationPress) Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal expressed strong disapproval on Monday regarding Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge's accusations against the RSS related to money laundering. Bansal contended that Kharge is affiliated with a faction intent on destabilizing Sanatan Dharma.
In an interview with IANS, Vinod Bansal stated, “Priyank Kharge is part of the same group that seeks to dismantle Sanatan Dharma and is persistently attempting to erase Hindus, Hindutva, the saffron ideology, and Sanatan traditions. This is the same party that, prior to and during the Karnataka elections, claimed it would ban the Bajrang Dal while also promising to construct temples for Lord Hanuman. In reality, their motivations are driven by a distorted mindset.”
Bansal further accused the Congress leader of making such statements for political gain.
“He is a significant figure within Congress and aspires to overshadow Rahul Gandhi through such declarations. However, his comments about the RSS only clarify one point: the Congress itself has been implicated in money laundering cases, with numerous Congress leaders facing legal challenges, some even incarcerated,” Bansal remarked to IANS.
He asserted that instead of self-reflection, the party seeks to attract attention.
“Rather than engaging in introspection, they aim for publicity. I would advise Priyank Kharge to explore the various branches of the RSS. If he desires to comprehend them, a visit would be beneficial,” he suggested.
Bansal added, “However, when you go there, you must chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram.’”
“You may feel discomfort since your leaders have historically been opposed to even uttering ‘Vande Mataram.’ The Congress needs to move beyond this mindset. Currently, no one is inclined to support you,” he stated.
Earlier in the day, a verbal tussle erupted between Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge and BJP leaders following Kharge's comments against the RSS, with both factions hurling accusations over ideology and development matters.
The BJP leaders responded to Kharge's remarks made in Bengaluru on Sunday, where he accused the RSS, the ideological backbone of the BJP, of engaging in “money laundering” and questioned its financial sources.
“The RSS operates through a network of over 2,500 organizations… They receive funding from these entities. I assert that they are involved in money laundering,” Kharge claimed, questioning why the organization remains unregistered and whether it is “above the law or Constitution.”
Kharge stated, “It is unknown how the RSS acquires its funding. Over 2,000 or nearly 2,500 organizations support the RSS through so-called dakshinas both domestically and internationally. They are all tied to the RSS. Where is the funding for their lobbying efforts in the US coming from?”
He further asserted, “The United States government has disclosed a document indicating that the RSS was involved in lobbying for nation-building in the United States. Where are they obtaining all this funding? The people of India deserve to know how this so-called cultural organization is undermining the social fabric of the country; it is doing anything but nation-building.”
