Bengaluru, Sep 5 (NationPress) Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M.B. Patil, asserted on Friday that the gathering of religious seers who met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to request a National Investigation Agency (NIA) inquiry into the Dharmasthala case was orchestrated by the BJP.
Minister Patil remarked, "This is a move initiated by the BJP. It must have been backed by the BJP, and in this context, the religious seers have traveled to Delhi to meet Union Minister Amit Shah."
He added, "Initially, they expressed opposition to the SIT. However, they later welcomed it. Have you observed how effectively the SIT has operated? Their work is commendable, and the public recognizes it. Has there been any government interference? A thorough investigation is underway by the SIT, and now you are attempting to politicize this matter," stated Patil.
When inquired about the religious seers traveling to Delhi, Patil reiterated, "This entire affair is sponsored by the BJP. The meeting between the seers and Amit Shah is a tactic employed by the BJP."
A group of religious seers from Karnataka, associated with 'Sanatana Sant Niyog,' met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Thursday, urging for the notorious Dharmasthala murder case to be transferred to the NIA.
The delegation was led by Vachanananda Swamiji from the Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali Peeth in Harihara, accompanied by seven other prominent religious leaders.
They presented a memorandum to Amit Shah, asserting that Dharmasthala is being targeted similarly to other Hindu pilgrimage sites like Sabarimala and Tirupati. The swamijis expressed no opposition to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe but emphasized the necessity of unveiling the conspiracy against the temple town of Dharmasthala, hence requesting the case be assigned to the NIA.
Jain Muni Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj mentioned that Amit Shah assured the delegation of action against the conspirators in the sensational Dharmasthala murder case after a meeting on September 8.
Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj stated to IANS on Thursday, "Amit Shah informed the delegation, which included seven sadhus and one of our mathadheesh, that he is closely monitoring the developments related to the Dharmasthala murder case and that he is organizing a special meeting on September 8. Amit Shah guaranteed that directives would be issued to initiate actions against the conspirators thereafter."
