Bengaluru, April 16 (NationPress) In response to the disciplinary measures taken against Congress Members of Legislative Council (MLCs) Abdul Jabbar and Naseer Ahmad for purported anti-party conduct during the recent bypolls, leaders from Karnataka's Muslim community expressed their discontent on Thursday.
They accused the party of showing favoritism and cautioned the Congress leadership about potential repercussions.
Both MLCs Abdul Jabbar and Naseer Ahmad faced severe penalties, with Naseer being dismissed from his role as the Chief Minister’s Political Advisor and Abdul Jabbar being expelled from the party's primary membership.
Previously, Jabbar had been compelled to resign from the presidency of the party's minority wing. Furthermore, there are speculations regarding possible actions against Waqf and Housing Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan.

He highlighted Congress's claim that benefits extended to the Meti family during the Bagalkot bypolls were also provided in Davanagere, questioning the necessity of such extensions to the family of late Shamanur Shivashankarappa, whose son is a minister and daughter-in-law is a Member of Parliament.
