Hyderabad, March 4 (NationPress) The working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K.T. Rama Rao, stated on Tuesday that body shaming, derogatory comments, and delusional statements are characteristic of Congress.
The former Telangana Minister reacted strongly to remarks made by Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed regarding Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma.
“I don’t understand why so many are upset over the Congress spokesperson’s comments about Rohit Sharma?! Body shaming, derogatory comments, and delusional statements are indeed a trademark of Congress,” Rama Rao expressed on X.
He also extended his apologies to Rohit Sharma: “I, as a fellow Indian, apologize for the vile treatment you have had to endure. You are an absolute rockstar, and no trivial politician’s opinion can diminish your reputation,” Rama Rao wrote.
“To presume that Rohit Sharma requires fitness advice or lectures on achievements from a Congress spokesperson is, without a doubt, the cruel joke that passes for politics!,” KTR, as he is popularly known, added.
“Furthermore! Are you aware that a female Minister from Telangana is facing legal action for her cheapest and most derogatory remarks about film stars and their families? Yes! This represents their level of gutter politics!,” KTR remarked.
He was referring to the comments made by Endowment and Forest Minister Konda Surekha, who blamed him for the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Last October, KTR initiated a defamation lawsuit against the Minister.
Renowned actor Nagarjuna, the father of Naga Chaitanya, also filed a defamation suit against her, stating that Konda Surekha’s comments harmed his family’s reputation, which has been built over decades through contributions to the film industry and social service.
Konda Surekha’s remarks from October 2 triggered a strong backlash from Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family, film personalities, and political leaders.
After Samantha released a statement clarifying that her divorce was amicable and mutual, she urged the Minister not to trivialize her personal journey and to respect individuals’ privacy. Konda Surekha later retracted her comments, stating they were not intended to hurt sentiments but to challenge a leader’s belittling of women. However, she maintained her stance regarding her comments on KTR.
