Hyderabad, March 12 (NationPress) Kota Neelima, general secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), has responded sharply to K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), regarding his assertion that 'show me one person who is happy with the Congress government in Telangana'.“We can certainly point to one individual who is deeply dissatisfied, and that is you,” she retorted, countering Rama Rao's comments made after Governor Jishnu Dev Varma's address to the joint session of the State Legislature on the inauguration day of the Budget session.

Neelima, who is also affiliated with the AICC, highlighted that whenever the Congress administration introduced a development initiative for women, KTR expressed discontent due to his lack of support for women's issues.

“Whenever this government launched a scheme aimed at farmers and the youth, you were unhappy, Mr. Rama Rao, because you are not supportive of farmers, nor are you pro-youth. Each time the Congress government endeavored to uplift Telangana from the dark times the BRS has plunged it into, you showed unhappiness. Indeed, if there is one person who is dissatisfied with the achievements of the Congress government in Telangana, it is you,” she stated.

Previously, during his media interactions following the governor's speech, Rama Rao dismissed it as merely a Congress publicity stunt. He also criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's track record.

KTR, a name by which Rama Rao is widely known, labeled the governor’s address as a “press meeting for Congress workers”.

He accused the Congress administration under A. Revanth Reddy of crafting the speech filled with “blatant falsehoods, half-truths, and misleading claims” to cover up 15 months of “failed and disastrous governance.”

KTR lamented that the Governor's address, rather than detailing new policies or addressing the status of Congress' 420 election promises and six guarantees, seemed to serve as a platform for party propaganda.

“We anticipated the speech would confess to their catastrophic rule, but it felt more like a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan,” he remarked.

The BRS highlighted a recent protest by contractors outside Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka’s office in the Telangana Secretariat. He alleged that contractors were demanding the payment of overdue bills and were being pressured to pay a 20 percent commission.

“Such occurrences have never been seen in any state secretariat across India,” he noted, accusing the Congress government of favoring “commissions and corruption” over effective governance.
