Hyderabad, June 13 (NationPress) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for incessantly issuing ACB notices related to the Formula-E race, labeling it a diversionary tactic aimed at distracting the populace from his administrative failures.
KTR, as he is commonly known, accused the Congress administration of having ascended to power based on false promises and now resorting to circus-like distractions to mask its incompetence.
“This clown of a Chief Minister is wearing a new disguise daily to divert attention from his governance shortcomings. Regardless of how many notices he sends, this bankrupt Congress administration cannot silence our voice on behalf of the people of Telangana,” the BRS leader remarked in a statement.
KTR emphasized that the Formula-E event has brought global recognition to both Hyderabad and Telangana. Instead of celebrating this achievement, CM Revanth Reddy opted to cancel the race for political motives.
He pointed out that Rs 44 crore was transferred transparently from the HMDA's government account to the Formula-E organizers, with the funds still residing in the Formula-E organization’s account. “Yet, the CM, who has failed to recover this money due to sheer administrative incapacity, is again using ACB notices to create a political spectacle,” he stated.
He accused the CM of deliberately evading efforts to reclaim public funds and instead weaponizing the issue to intimidate political rivals. “No matter how many times they summon me, the reality remains that every rupee was spent transparently. The truth is evident to everyone,” KTR asserted.
He confirmed receiving a new ACB notice on Friday and, as a law-abiding citizen, he will fully cooperate and appear before the ACB on Monday at 10 a.m.
However, KTR reminded the public that CM Revanth Reddy was previously caught with a black bag full of cash in the notorious “Vote-for-Note” scandal— a case still pending with the same ACB.
“In light of both our ACB investigations, let’s conduct a lie detector test live on television in front of a judge. The people of Telangana should determine who is guilty,” KTR challenged.
KTR also condemned the Congress administration for squandering public funds on repeated inquiries while claiming that the state treasury is bankrupt. “If you genuinely care about integrity, stop wasting taxpayer money and agree to a lie detector test. Allow the people of Telangana to witness the truth unfold live,” he stated.
