Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bhopal, December 24 (NationPress) Lavkesh Mehra, a resident of Bhopal, was an average individual not long ago, but his story now serves as a beacon of courage, determination, and hope for his community, who admire his achievements and express a desire to follow in his footsteps.
His remarkable journey commenced after he left his job and secured a loan of Rs 5 lakh through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana to launch his own business in 2021. This venture not only transformed his life but also caused his company's revenue to skyrocket—from a modest Rs 12 lakh to over Rs 50 lakh.
In the initial year, Lavkesh recorded a turnover of Rs 12 lakh, but it surged significantly in the following years, surpassing Rs 50 lakh.
When he embarked on this entrepreneurial journey in 2021, he was initially apprehensive about repaying such a substantial loan, yet the government's backing instilled the confidence needed to proceed.
Reflecting on his journey, he mentioned, "Upon receiving the Rs 5 lakh Mudra loan, I was uncertain about my ability to repay it. However, the government’s assurance to banks regarding collateral-free loans encouraged me to go ahead."
"Today, my revenue has escalated from Rs 12 lakh to over Rs 50 lakh, and my loan has expanded from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh. This funding allowed me to broaden my business, and I am currently working on around 30 products," he expressed with pride.
Last year, Lavkesh had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to whom he shared how the government's initiatives contributed to his success. The Prime Minister praised Lavkesh and acknowledged the scheme’s vital role in uplifting the youth of the nation.
Lavkesh stated to IANS that meeting the Prime Minister was a significant moment for him and his family.
"He motivated me just like a father encourages his child to strive forward. After our meeting, I felt even more driven to expand my business and create job opportunities for others," Lavkesh expressed.
"I want to urge the country's youth to be bold and pursue their dreams without hesitation. The government stands behind you, and the banking system is ready to support you," he shared, narrating his experiences.
