Bengaluru, June 30 (NationPress) In light of ongoing speculation about potential leadership changes in Karnataka, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated on Monday that predicting the high command's decisions is futile, as they are the sole authority within the party capable of making such determinations.

"The high command holds all the power. No one can accurately gauge what is unfolding. Any decision regarding this matter will be reached by the high command," Kharge remarked when queried about rumors suggesting changes by October.

He emphasized that only the high command possesses the necessary authority to make these decisions. "It's entirely up to their judgment. However, I caution against fostering unnecessary disputes," he added.

Congress General Secretary and Karnataka In-Charge Randeep Singh Surjewala dismissed the discussions surrounding leadership changes as mere fabrications of the imagination.

On June 26, Karnataka Cooperation Minister K.N. Rajanna ignited speculation by asserting that substantial changes would occur in the state following September, intensifying rumors of internal discord within Congress.

Earlier, Rajanna alleged that there were attempts to compromise him and expressed his interest in assuming the role of State Congress President, a position currently held by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. He also indicated his readiness to step down from his ministerial duties.

"Let September pass, and you will witness significant transformations. A revolution is on the horizon," Rajanna claimed.

He further asserted that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is operating under duress.

On June 28, Rajanna reignited controversy by suggesting that his Cabinet colleague and PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi may become the next State Congress President.
