Bhopal, July 18 (NationPress) - The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, convened a round-table discussion in Barcelona with key representatives from top global textile machinery firms on the third day of his tour in Spain on Friday.
The primary aim of this meeting was to position Madhya Pradesh as a center for textile machinery manufacturing while fostering collaborations with European technology providers.
Topics of discussion included the creation of a textile machinery manufacturing hub within the state, fostering partnerships between Indian and European firms, and exploring avenues for technology transfer and knowledge sharing.
Taking to X, the Chief Minister stated: "As part of the ‘Madhya Pradesh Global Dialogue–2025’, we conducted a roundtable today in Barcelona, Spain, with prominent European textile machinery manufacturers and experts. The dialogue extensively covered the prospects of setting up advanced production units in Madhya Pradesh. Positive discussions were held regarding transforming the state into a global hub for textile machinery manufacturing under the 'Make in India' and 'Make in Madhya Pradesh' initiatives."
During the discussions, CM Yadav underscored the state's investor-friendly climate and policies tailored to attract investments in the textile sector.
He noted that Madhya Pradesh stands out as a leading Indian state in attracting textile investments.
Chief Minister Yadav also detailed the benefits offered by the state government, including dedicated textile parks, SEZs, and various incentive schemes for prospective investors.
He stressed the need to understand investors' requirements to adapt policies and facilities effectively.
"Madhya Pradesh is also an ideal location for textile machinery manufacturing. The state government is devoted to advancing technology transfer and sustainable production in collaboration with global firms," the Chief Minister remarked.
"This initiative is aimed at enhancing world-class textile machinery production under the Make in India and Make in MP campaigns and establishing specialized textile parks and SEZs," stated the Madhya Pradesh government.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister had met with global leaders from the textiles and fashion industry in Madrid.
He also toured the Royal Palace of Spain. CM Yadav's weeklong international tour (UAE and Spain) is set to conclude on July 19, with his return to Bhopal scheduled for July 20.
