Shahdol, June 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has announced that the state government will conduct surveys and issue land titles (pattas) in regions where the Kol tribe resides and does not yet hold ownership. This significant declaration was made during a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of the legendary tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda in Shahdol district on Monday.
During this event, CM Yadav inaugurated 55 development initiatives valued at Rs 330 crore and initiated the bhoomi-pujan for 52 new projects in the district.
Speaking to a large audience of Kol tribes, he emphasized the community's rich heritage and its crucial contributions to the nation's independence and progress.
"The Kol tribal community has been recognized for its valour and commitment throughout history. Numerous heroes from this community made profound sacrifices during the struggle against the British Empire to defend their water, forests, and land," he remarked.
He also recounted the community's devotion, mentioning how members of the Kol tribe constructed a hut for Lord Ram.
Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav shared that a Cabinet meeting was convened at Singrampur, honoring Rani Durgavati.
He announced the installation of a statue of Birsa Munda at the Birsa Munda Medical College in Shahdol, alongside another statue of Banabhatta at the Bansagar Reservoir.
In his address, the Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as the architect of 'Viksit Bharat', and congratulated him on completing 11 successful years in office.
Moreover, CM Yadav expressed confidence that the nation will continue to thrive under PM Modi's leadership in 2029. He remarked that this period represents a golden era for India, with PM Modi's accomplishments being historically significant.
