Bhopal, June 7 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Saturday that all public welfare initiatives launched by his predecessor, former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, will remain operational.

During an event in Sehore district, attended by Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, CM Yadav emphasized this commitment.

"The opposition (Congress) often questions our motives. In the presence of ex-CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, I want to clarify that no scheme initiated during his administration will be halted. We will work collaboratively to secure sufficient funding for all the initiatives," CM Yadav stated.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister hinted at enhancing the monthly benefits under the 'Ladli Behna Yojana', a prominent women-centric program introduced by Shivraj Chouhan prior to the 2023 state Assembly elections.

"With the Rakshabandhan festival approaching, I am pleased to announce that the Madhya Pradesh government intends to increase the cash assistance to women under the Ladli Behna Yojana from Rs 1,250 to Rs 3,000," Yadav revealed.

Located near the state capital Bhopal, Sehore is the home district of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and falls under the Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency represented by him.

During the event, Mohan Yadav and Shivraj Chouhan jointly inaugurated multiple projects worth over Rs 130 crore.

In his address, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reaffirmed his full support for CM Yadav, expressing confidence that his successor would excel in promoting the state's development.

"I won't claim my past achievements. I would find greater happiness if Mohan Yadav surpasses my contributions for the people of Madhya Pradesh," he stated at the public rally in Sehore.

He also pointed out that his recent padyatra in his hometown Budhni was misrepresented. Shivraj Singh Chouhan clarified that the party's directives are paramount, stating, "Mohan Yadav is the Chief Minister, and I am the Union Agriculture Minister." He further emphasized the necessity of engaging with constituents, countering media interpretations.

This addressed the two-day 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Padyatra' in the Vidisha constituency held in May to showcase the welfare schemes of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Numerous supporters, including family members like his son and daughter-in-law, took part in the second day of the padyatra.
