Gwalior, March 13 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, on Friday, deposited Rs 1,836 crore into the accounts of over 1.25 crore women who benefit from the Ladli Behna Yojana.
The transfer was executed with a single click during the ceremonial event called 'Ladli Behna Sammelan', held at the Shabari Mata Temple in Gwalior.
Joining the occasion was Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and MP representing the Guna constituency.
This marks the 34th instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, a cash benefit program initiated by the BJP government for women aged between 23 and 60 years starting in June 2023, providing Rs 1,000 monthly to eligible beneficiaries.
In September 2023, the monthly amount was raised to Rs 1,250, and again increased to Rs 1,500 per month in November 2025.
Chief Minister Yadav previously announced plans for the BJP-led state government to increase the monthly assistance to Rs 3,000 by 2028.
To date, the state government has transferred over Rs 55,976 crore, including the recent instalment of Rs 1,836 crore.
During the event, the Chief Minister also engaged with various beneficiaries to understand how they utilize the monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 provided by the Ladli Behna Yojana.

Among these projects are the construction of the Sandipani School building in Kulaith, which cost around Rs 40 crore, and a high-level bridge over the Sank river on the Dada Khirk–Tighra road, built at a cost of Rs 9.11 crore.
Other initiatives include the Sub-Health Centre at Banheri and newly constructed roads in both urban and rural areas of Gwalior district.
