Bhopal/Sehore, April 11 (NationPress) In a significant advancement for women’s empowerment in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to unveil the 35th instalment of the acclaimed ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ from Ashta in Sehore district this Sunday.

The CM will directly credit Rs 1,500 into the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore women beneficiaries statewide via a one-click DBT (direct benefit transfer). This event in Ashta symbolizes yet another achievement in a scheme that has provided an essential source of income for women throughout the state.

The monthly financial aid under the Ladli Behna Yojana has increased from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,500. This dependable financial backing empowers women to handle household expenses, make minor savings, and even pursue self-employment ventures.

The state government has announced plans to connect women beneficiaries with skill development and employment programs in the near future, enhancing their self-sufficiency. Currently, over 1.25 crore women are reaping the benefits of the scheme, which is instrumental in promoting financial inclusion and empowering decision-making at the community level.

This direct transfer method guarantees transparency and removes intermediaries, ensuring that each rupee reaches the intended recipient without delay.

In conjunction with the instalment release, Chief Minister Yadav will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for various development projects valued at over Rs 184 crore in the region. Among these initiatives are the construction of the Sandipani School building in Ashta, a ghat on the Parvati River, the rejuvenation of the Newaj River in Jawar, a Primary Health Centre in Mehatwada, a Sub-Tehsil building in Siddiganj, a Revenue Office in Ashta, and a bridge on the Ashta-Shujalpur road, all amounting to a capital investment of Rs 115 crore.

Furthermore, the CM will perform Bhoomi Pujan for projects totaling Rs 69 crore, which include school constructions, police housing, a hostel in Ichhawar, roadworks, community halls, and drinking water schemes under the Amrut 2.0 mission. Within Ashta city, projects such as the construction of RCC (reinforced cement concrete) drains, road widening, and beautification, along with the development of a vegetable market and enhancements to the Pandu Shila area, will also be undertaken. This comprehensive initiative underscores the Madhya Pradesh government’s dual commitment to women’s welfare and balanced regional development.

The Ladli Behna Yojana has been recognized as a transformative initiative for women’s economic stability in the state. The upcoming event in Ashta is expected to draw enthusiastic participation from women beneficiaries and local residents, reflecting the scheme’s strong connection with the community.

The release of the 35th instalment will further showcase the government’s dedication to “Ladli Behnas” (beloved sisters).
