Bhopal, Feb 14 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, on Saturday unveiled the 33rd installment of the prominent “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana” from Pandhana in the Khandwa district, representing a significant achievement in the state's welfare initiatives aimed at women.

In a remarkable digital transfer, executed with a single click during a public gathering, the Chief Minister transferred Rs 1,500 directly to the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore eligible women beneficiaries.

This installment alone sums up to Rs 1,836 crore, furnishing essential financial aid to countless households throughout Madhya Pradesh.

The Ladli Behna Yojana, one of the state government's most celebrated initiatives, seeks to foster economic autonomy, enhance household nutrition, and elevate the overall status of women.

Since its launch, the program has consistently expanded its reach and impact.

The current monthly disbursement is Rs 1,500 per beneficiary, which is crucial amidst escalating living expenses. On Facebook, CM Mohan Yadav expressed his delight, stating: "Today, through a single click under the Ladli Behna Yojana, over 1.25 crore women received more than Rs 1,836 crore. Congratulations to all Ladli Behnas!"

He emphasized the scheme's transformative power by directly placing funds in the hands of women.

To date, the government has transferred a total of Rs 52,304 crore to the bank accounts of women beneficiaries through 33 installments under this initiative.

This ongoing financial commitment highlights the BJP-led government's dedication to gender equality and grassroots empowerment.

The event in Pandhana attracted large crowds of beneficiaries and local leaders, showcasing the scheme's immense popularity in both rural and urban regions.

Numerous women expressed their appreciation for the timely support, particularly as it arrives just before major festivals, aiding families in meeting essential needs. With regular disbursements and an increasing number of beneficiaries, the program continues to set a standard for direct-benefit-transfer initiatives in the state.

At another event in Burhanpur district, the Chief Minister inaugurated development projects worth Rs 696 crore across various departments. These projects, spanning infrastructure, public amenities, and agriculture, are anticipated to accelerate the overall progress of the district.

CM Yadav also announced plans for an agriculture-based regional industry conclave in Burhanpur district and the construction of a kirtan center for the Bairagi community. He assured that overdue payments to workers at the cooperative cotton mill would be settled soon.

“We will establish a facility for value addition, storage, and processing to assist banana farmers, and youth will receive skill-based training,” he stated, reiterating the state government's commitment to enhancing farmers' income.

In his address, CM Yadav underscored the accomplishments of his administration over the past two years and accused the opposition Congress of attempting to fabricate a misleading narrative against the BJP government.

“Even with decades in power in Madhya Pradesh and at the national level, Congress failed to empower women, the underprivileged, and farmers, and now their leaders attempt to distort the truth about the BJP government,” Yadav stated.
