Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bhopal/Khajuraho, Dec 9 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will initiate the release of the 31st instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, an important achievement in the state government's premier welfare program aimed at women.
During his two-day tour of Chhatarpur district, the Chief Minister arrived in Khajuraho on Monday. He is set to deposit Rs 1,500 into the accounts of all eligible participants.
This financial assistance, which pertains to December 2025, will positively impact over 1.26 crore women throughout Madhya Pradesh, totaling a disbursement of Rs 1,857 crore.
The event will be held at Sati Ki Madhiya in Rajnagar, where Dr. Yadav will personally oversee the fund transfer and engage with the Ladli Behna sisters.
In Chhatarpur district alone, 3,24,433 women will benefit, resulting in nearly Rs 50 crore being allocated.
The scheme, which was introduced in 2023, has already facilitated 30 previous instalments, and today’s event represents the 31st, coinciding with the end of the year.
Importantly, this marks the second occasion that the increased amount of Rs 1,500 is being transferred.
Prior to October, recipients received Rs 1,250 per instalment, but the government elevated this amount to bolster financial aid for women.
This initiative has been praised as a significant step toward empowering women financially and promoting their involvement in family decision-making.
At the Rajnagar event, the Chief Minister is expected to discuss the impact of the scheme, which has emerged as one of the largest direct benefit transfer initiatives in the state.
The Ladli Behna Yojana has consistently aimed to provide financial security to women, especially in rural and semi-urban regions, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
Before the funds are released, beneficiaries are encouraged to check their names and payment status online. The scheme’s official website, cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in, offers access to information for women to confirm their eligibility and track the credited amounts.
The Chief Minister's engagement with the women today is anticipated to emphasize the government’s dedication to maintaining the scheme and broadening its scope in the future.
