Bhopal, Feb 14 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday facilitated the transfer of Rs 1,836 crore as the monthly installment under the Ladli Behna Yojana into the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore women beneficiaries during a ceremony in Khandwa district.
During the event, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for numerous development initiatives valued at more than Rs 252 crore and inaugurated completed projects totaling Rs 352.41 crore, as per an official announcement.
In his speech, CM Yadav congratulated the scheme's beneficiaries and reaffirmed his administration's dedication to empowering women through various flagship programs initiated by both the Centre and the state.
At another event in Burhanpur district, the Chief Minister unveiled development projects spanning several departments worth Rs 696 crore. These initiatives, which include improvements in infrastructure, public amenities, and agriculture, are anticipated to invigorate the district’s overall growth.
He also announced plans for an agriculture-focused regional industry conclave in Burhanpur and the establishment of a kirtan centre for the Bairagi community. Additionally, he assured that outstanding payments to workers at the cooperative cotton mill would be resolved shortly.
“A facility for value addition, storage, and processing will be set up to assist banana farmers, alongside skill-based training for the youth,” he stated, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing farmers' incomes.
In his address, CM Yadav highlighted the accomplishments of his government over the previous two years and accused the opposition Congress party of fabricating a false narrative against the BJP government.
“Although in power for many years in Madhya Pradesh and at the national level, the Congress failed to empower women, the underprivileged, and farmers. Now, their leaders are attempting to mislead the public regarding the BJP administration,” Yadav remarked.
