Sarang instructed officials to collaborate with youth coordinators to ensure the camp is effectively organized at the community level, including in blocks and rural areas, to enhance participation.
He emphasized that the initiative should extend beyond sports to also instill values like discipline, teamwork, and social harmony.
Sarang called for transforming ‘Aaroh-2026’ into a widespread movement, akin to national initiatives like the ‘Fit India Movement’ and ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’, ensuring it reaches all segments of society.
Highlighting the department's broader vision, Sarang mentioned ongoing efforts to bolster sports infrastructure, discover emerging talent, and deploy trained coaches to mentor young athletes. He stressed that coaches are pivotal in nurturing the capabilities of youth and aiding them in attaining excellence in sports.
The camp will also feature awareness programs and counseling sessions aimed at fostering the mental and intellectual development of participants.
Registration for the camp will commence on April 18 and can be completed through the official website of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare or via a designated QR code.
