Bhopal, Jan 29 (NationPress) In a notable shake-up of senior police personnel throughout Madhya Pradesh, the Home Department released two comprehensive orders on January 29, detailing new assignments and transfers designed to enhance the leadership of law enforcement across the state.

The adjustments impact both high-ranking officials and zonal-level officers, illustrating a calculated redistribution of tasks within the police structure. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, a 1992 batch officer, remains as Special Director General of Police, CID, at Police Headquarters in Bhopal, while also overseeing Vigilance. His responsibilities include managing anti-Naxal operations, STF, vigilance, and CID.

Anand Kumar Singh, a 1994 batch officer, has been released from central deputation and will take on the role of Special Director General and Principal Director of Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation in Bhopal.

KP Venkateshwar Rao, from the 1995 batch, has been assigned technical services and will also manage the additional responsibilities of STF at Police Headquarters, along with anti-Naxal operations. Umesh Joga, a 1997 batch officer who was ADG of Ujjain Zone, has been appointed Additional Director General and Transport Commissioner for Madhya Pradesh in Gwalior, with his services transferred to the Transport Department.

D Srinivas Verma, also a 1997 batch officer, will now take on the role of ADG for Narcotics while also supervising STF. Vivek Sharma, from the 1998 batch, has transitioned from Transport Commissioner to ADG, PTS Gwalior, with his transport duties concluded. Anshuman Yadav, also from the 1998 batch, has been designated as Special Director General for Sports and Youth Welfare, with his services handed over to the relevant department.

Rakesh Gupta, a 1999 batch officer who previously served as Director of Sports and Youth Welfare, will now hold the position of ADG for Ujjain Zone. Abhay Singh, from the 2002 batch, is moving from IG Bhopal Rural Zone to IG (Zonal) at Police Headquarters. Harinarayanachari Mishra, a 2003 batch officer, shifts from Police Commissioner of Bhopal to IG (SCRB) at Police Headquarters.

Additional changes include Sanjay Kumar, from the 2004 batch, who will transition from IG Balaghat Zone to Police Commissioner of Urban Police District Bhopal. Sanjay Tiwari, also from the 2004 batch, moves from IG (Planning) at Police Headquarters to IG Bhopal South Zone. Chetna N, from the 2006 batch, previously IG (SCRB), will now take charge of Shahdol Zone.

Lalit Shakyawar, from the 2008 batch, will assume the role of IG for Balaghat Zone, succeeding Sanjay Kumar. Additionally, Mohammad Shahid Akbar, a 1996 batch officer and ADG (Selection and Recruitment), has been relieved of his additional responsibilities as ADG, PTRI, and Communications at Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal.
