Bhopal, Feb 20 (NationPress) In two distinct road accidents in the towns of Maihar and Katni within Madhya Pradesh, three individuals lost their lives and numerous others were injured, as reported by officials on Thursday.
The initial incident took place near the Ram Mandir in Maihar, situated 475 km away from Bhopal. A Scorpio vehicle collided with the back end of a bus, leading to the unfortunate deaths of three passengers in the Scorpio. Two other individuals suffered injuries, with one in a serious condition.
While there are claims of a woman passing away due to her injuries, police have yet to validate this information. The collision occurred around 3 a.m. on Thursday. The injured were first taken to a local medical facility and later moved to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa.
In another incident, a bus transporting Kumbh pilgrims from Telangana to Prayagraj flipped over near Dwara village in the Kotwali police jurisdiction of Katni district, resulting in injuries to seven passengers.
This accident transpired during the morning hours on Thursday. All injured individuals were admitted to the Katni District Hospital.
The police have yet to ascertain the cause of this incident, but preliminary reports indicate that the driver may have lost control while failing to notice a speed breaker.
Just a day prior, a similar tragic event in Maihar resulted in the deaths of a couple and their daughter when their vehicle collided with a stationary truck. The injured were transported to the district hospital by police in Katni.
On Wednesday, multiple road incidents resulted in injuries to several Kumbh pilgrims.
