Bhopal, April 22 (NationPress) With the goal of attracting Rs 12,000 crore in investment and generating 5,000 jobs, the government of Madhya Pradesh is initiating plans to establish a Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior.

An extensive investors' summit focused on the telecom sector is scheduled to take place in Indore on April 27.

This event aims to draw significant investments into the telecom industry within Madhya Pradesh.

On Tuesday, the state Cabinet deliberated on the creation of the Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) in Gwalior and has forwarded a proposal to the central government. This expansive TMZ, once approved, is expected to attract over Rs 12,000 crore in investments while creating approximately 5,000 jobs. To further encourage investment in the telecom sector, an IT conclave will be held in Indore on April 27,

said Rajendra Shukla, the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh will also host the Tech Growth Conclave-2025 on April 27 in Indore, a pivotal event organized by the state's Department of Science and Technology.

The purpose of the conclave is to transform investment commitments from the Global Investors Summit 2025 into actionable projects, thereby solidifying the state's status as a center for technology and innovation,

added the Deputy Chief Minister.

He noted that many entrepreneurs are eager to contribute to the advancement of the telecom sector in Madhya Pradesh.

There are vast possibilities for growth in the telecom industry in regions such as Gwalior and Jabalpur.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will lead the event, presenting a comprehensive strategy for technological progress in Madhya Pradesh.

The conclave will emphasize accelerating IT investment policies, monitoring advancements, and fostering collaboration among government, industry, and academia to reinforce the state's role in the global tech ecosystem.

Highlights will include the unveiling of four new policy guidelines, the groundbreaking ceremony for IIT Indore, the launch of an AI-based Centre of Excellence, and new agreements for state-of-the-art technology labs focusing on Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality.

These initiatives aim to boost research, enhance skill development, and promote industry partnerships.

The event will also see the foundation laid for several major private investment projects.

Over 300 industry leaders, policymakers, and investors are expected to attend, discussing innovations in IT, Information Technology Enabled Services, semiconductors, drone technology, and data centres.

The conclave will also celebrate the inauguration of Jabalpur IT Park Block B, a project valued at Rs 25 crore that is projected to create more than 500 jobs.

New agreements for Centres of Excellence in AI, cybersecurity, semiconductors, and drone technology will be signed with institutions like Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal; Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal; and Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior.

A dedicated investment portal will be launched to track projects, along with the introduction of four new policy guidelines aimed at improving the investment climate.
