Bhopal, Oct 29 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh is gearing up to commemorate its 70th Foundation Day with an extravagant three-day event named ‘Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh’ scheduled from November 1 to 3, 2025, at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.
The state government has designated November 1 as a public holiday to promote extensive participation in the celebrations, which will highlight the state’s cultural, economic, and social evolution.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, this year’s theme—“Year of Industry and Employment”—underscores Madhya Pradesh’s progress and dedication to inclusive development. Notable figures such as Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will be the chief guests.
During a press briefing, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi stated that the festivities represent a collective effort showcasing the state’s heritage, advancement, and community spirit. He revealed that every district will host parallel activities to guarantee grassroots involvement from schools, colleges, and local artists.
The primary ceremony will kick off each evening at 6:30 p.m., starting with a captivating 2,000-drone show on November 1 themed “From Heritage to Development.” This will be succeeded by “Vishwavand – The Musical Journey of Shri Krishna,” featuring 500 artists, and a light music concert by Jubin Nautiyal, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.
On November 2, the Vishala Cultural Committee of Ujjain will perform the epic play ‘Samrat Vikramaditya’ followed by a show by Hansraj Raghuvanshi. Due to popular demand, the play will return on November 3, concluding with a performance by Sneha Shankar.
The festival will also include the “One District – One Product” crafts fair, “Swad” indigenous cuisine fair, and exhibitions focusing on Developed Madhya Pradesh 2047, Temples of Devlok, and Development through Heritage.
Tribal and folk dances such as Karma, Bhagoria, Badhai, and Gangaur will be showcased on November 2 and 3 starting at 3 p.m. Cultural processions will take place on October 30 and 31, including a special parade.
