Wadettiwar described this as a repeat threat and demanded both a thorough investigation and an immediate enhancement of Pathan's security cover.

In a pointed critique of the government's security allocation, Wadettiwar remarked, 'Director Rohit Shetty has been given 25 security guards. Similar, heavy security must be immediately extended to our Congress MLAs who are facing active gang threats.' The remark drew sharp attention to what the Opposition characterised as skewed protection priorities.

Speaker's Response on Security

Speaker Rajesh Narwekar acknowledged the gravity of the threat, affirming that protecting elected representatives is the absolute responsibility of the state government. He assured the House that security would be allocated in accordance with formal threat assessments. The assurance, however, did not satisfy the Opposition, which maintained that the government's overall response — on both farmer distress and legislator safety — was inadequate.
