Mahakumbh Nagar (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 13 (NationPress) In a remarkable display of dedication to cleanliness, the Maha Kumbh 2025 administration showcased its effectiveness by promptly rejuvenating the Sangam Ghats following the Magh Purnima bathing festival.

Immediately after the sacred Magh Purnima Snan concluded, a devoted team of cleaners initiated a comprehensive cleanup operation by the evening. Their swift and relentless endeavors ensured that, by nightfall, the Sangam Ghats were once again immaculate and inviting, poised to greet the next wave of devotees.

During Magh Purnima, more than 20 million pilgrims took a holy dip in the Sangam on Wednesday. As part of their ritual offerings, many devotees left behind flowers, garlands, garments, and food at the ghats, alongside notable use of public toilets.

After the crowd density diminished, the mela administration commenced an intensive cleaning initiative, restoring the ghats to their original pristine state by morning.

To ensure rapid cleanliness, all sector magistrates were directed to launch a large-scale sanitation campaign as soon as the crowd dissipated. In response, the administration efficiently removed solid waste left behind from the bathing ceremony.

Specialized cleaning vehicles were dispatched to gather trash from the ghats and fairgrounds, while cesspool operations were undertaken to uphold hygiene in public toilets.

Anand Kumar Singh, the sanitation supervisor of the event, mentioned that under the cleanliness initiative, sanitation workers meticulously swept and cleaned all pathways.

“Dustbins and liner bags scattered throughout the fair area were emptied using tippers and compactors. The administration has been conducting these cleaning efforts daily to realize the vision of a Clean Maha Kumbh. However, on significant bathing days, the campaign is amplified to guarantee that arriving pilgrims experience a sacred and sanitary environment the following day,” he elaborated.

The swift measures taken by the fair administration left both devotees and locals feeling greatly impressed. In their expressions of gratitude, many acknowledged the contributions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government in ensuring a well-organized and pristine Maha Kumbh 2025.

One devotee remarked that the administration's commitment to cleanliness has solidified its pledge to transform the Maha Kumbh into a benchmark of order and sanitation.
