Patna, Oct 23 (NationPress) The prolonged period of discord and division that has overshadowed the relationship between two principal partners of the Mahagathbandhan — Congress and RJD — is poised to come to a close as all alliance members are set to participate in a joint press conference on Thursday. This event, coinciding with the final day for withdrawing nominations, has sparked a wave of taunts and criticisms from NDA leaders.
The Grand Alliance is preparing to host a joint press event in the city, aiming to dispel any uncertainties regarding their seat-sharing agreement.
However, the promotional material for the alliance has ignited a new controversy, with BJP and JD(U) mocking the emphasis on Tejashwi Yadav in the poster. This also diverges from the alliance’s recent campaign initiatives, as both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav jointly led the 16-day-long Vote Adhikaar Yatra, which aimed to mobilize voters against the government led by Nitish Kumar.
Leaders from both BJP and JD(U) are ridiculing the Mahagathbandhan’s promotional poster displayed at the press conference venue, which prominently features Tejashwi Yadav but omits any reference to Rahul Gandhi or other leaders from the alliance.
Sharing an image of the poster on their X account, Bihar BJP commented, "The significant infighting within the Grand Alliance has now become evident. Initially, Rahul Gandhi did not recognize Tejashwi as his representative. Now, Tejashwi has excluded Rahul from the poster. This very poster signals the impending dissolution of the Grand Alliance."
BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok, in a biting critique, remarked, "The elder Yuvraj will come to Bihar after returning from Colombia, while the younger prince is already present. The 'Yuvraj' who received funds from China will meet the 'Yuvraj' implicated in the Land for Jobs case today. Both are out on bail, and they will discuss Bihar’s progress."
JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar questioned the absurdity of the situation unfolding in the name of the alliance.
"With a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar and 255 Grand Alliance candidates, only Tejashwi Yadav could decipher this math," he stated.
Addressing the poster at the press conference, he queried, "Only Tejashwi Yadav’s image is present; where are the images of the other leaders? Why are the leaders from the component parties absent?
