Patna, Feb 26 (NationPress) The Mahagathbandhan, also known as the Grand Alliance, is ramping up its political maneuvers in Bihar as the Rajya Sabha elections approach. Leaders are increasingly engaging in discussions and strategic meetings to solidify their electoral approach.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, has been conducting multiple sessions with representatives and MLAs from all coalition parties within his office at the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Sources indicate that Yadav is diligently formulating a plan to propose a unified candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections while collaborating with alliance members to foster cohesion in their campaign.

He is evaluating the collective strength of the Grand Alliance to create a compelling case for consensus and ensure sufficient backing for their chosen candidate during the elections.

In these discussions, extensive consultations have been held with MLAs from the Congress and Left parties, centering on electoral strategies and teamwork.

Initial signs point to a growing agreement within the alliance to present a single, unified candidate, showcasing their commitment to a coordinated front.

Senior figure I.P. Gupta highlighted that Tejashwi Yadav maintains ongoing communications with MLAs from all coalition partners to strengthen alignment and finalize their strategic approach.

He expressed optimism that the Grand Alliance will soon settle on its candidate, receiving support from all opposition factions.

Notably, Akhtarul Iman, the Bihar state President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has also conferred with Tejashwi Yadav regarding the Rajya Sabha elections and potential collaboration.

This development has shifted the opposition's emphasis towards garnering the backing of AIMIM MLAs, as their support could be pivotal in influencing the election's outcome.

Political analysts suggest that should AIMIM lend its support, the Grand Alliance's chances of successfully sending its candidate to the Rajya Sabha would markedly increase, bolstering the opposition's position.

Further reports indicate that around 121 leaders and MLAs from the Grand Alliance have convened to refine their electoral strategy and develop a clear plan for presenting their joint candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Following the meeting, Tejashwi Yadav asserted that the Grand Alliance is prepared to contest the forthcoming Rajya Sabha election and expressed confidence in their victory.

“We are fully prepared for the Rajya Sabha election. We will contest, and we will win. The candidate will be determined shortly, and we have sufficient MLA support,” Tejashwi Yadav stated.
