Patna, March 7 (NationPress) During the ongoing Budget Session, a pivotal gathering of the Opposition Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) Legislature Party took place at the residence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Alok Mehta on Thursday.

The meeting featured the participation of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, along with representatives from the Congress and Left parties.

The primary focus of this assembly was to devise a strategy for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, emphasizing solidarity against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and addressing crucial issues confronting the Bihar government during the Budget Session.

Tejashwi Yadav reiterated that the Opposition Grand Alliance aims to elevate public concerns in the Bihar Assembly, covering topics such as education and health infrastructure, law enforcement, student and youth matters, farmers' issues, women's welfare, and additional significant subjects.

"A collaborative strategy has been established to bring these matters to the forefront in the House," he stated.

During the discussions, Congress MLA Vijay Shankar Dubey acknowledged that the Congress Central leadership will determine its position regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate.

"Traditionally, the leading party in the alliance spearheads the coalition," he remarked.

The CPI-ML has endorsed Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly election.

CPI-ML MLA Satyendra Yadav publicly declared Tejashwi Yadav as the consensus CM candidate for the 2025 Bihar polls.

"The Mahagathbandhan will participate in the upcoming elections under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. He is the champion of the Grand Alliance in this election. The NDA should announce their CM candidate," he added.

Nevertheless, some Congress MLAs raised concerns, but the CPI-ML dismissed these, asserting there is no formal objection from the Congress's senior leadership.

Satyendra Yadav accused the Bihar government of corruption, asserting: "The Budget neglected the challenges facing laborers, farmers, students, Dalits, and Mahadalits. The Opposition will unveil the NDA's disregard in the Assembly."

With the Bihar elections nearing, the Mahagathbandhan is advocating for a united front, with Tejashwi Yadav emerging as the leading figure.

However, Congress's reluctance to officially support him indicates ongoing internal discussions.

Some Congress leaders in Bihar recently mentioned that the Chief Ministerial candidate will be determined after the election results.
