Mahakumbh 2025: Adani Group Partners with ISKCON for ‘Mahaprasad Seva’ to Devotees

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) With the commencement of the Mahakumbh 2025 just around the corner, the Adani Group has formed a partnership with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to cater meals for millions of devotees and pilgrims visiting Prayagraj for the Shahi Snan and Kumbh Mela.
The initiative, titled ‘Mahaprasad Seva’, will be available to devotees throughout the entire duration of the Maha Kumbh Mela, commencing on January 13.
In celebration of the ‘Seva Hi Saadhna Hai’ initiative, the chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, met with Guru Prasad Swami, the Chairman of the ISKCON Governing Body Commission (GBC) on Thursday.
Gautam Adani also shared the news via his social media account on X, announcing the launch of ‘Mahaprasad Seva’.
“The Kumbh is a sacred ground of service where every individual naturally engages in acts of charity! It is a blessing for me that during Maha Kumbh, in collaboration with @IskconInc, we are initiating 'Mahaprasad Seva' for devotees, where free meals will be offered to millions with the blessings of Maa Annapurna,” the billionaire expressed in a post on X.
He further mentioned that his discussion with ISKCON's Guru Prasad Swamiji allowed him to profoundly appreciate the essence of dedication towards service.
“In its truest form, service embodies the highest level of patriotism. Service is sadhana, service is prayer, and service is God,” he added.
To facilitate the ‘Mahaprasad Seva’ for devotees, meals will be prepared across two kitchens, both within and outside the fair ground area.
As preparations ramp up, Prayagraj is adorned and ready for the Mahakumbh 2025, which will launch on January 13 and conclude on February 26.
A robust seven-layer security framework has been established, alongside a comprehensive checking operation to ensure the smooth and secure execution of Mahakumbh 2025. Additionally, more than 2,700 AI-enabled cameras have been installed.
As the event approaches, Prayagraj buzzes with an atmosphere of spiritual enthusiasm and devotion. The state government anticipates over 40-45 crore devotees for this significant event, which takes place after a span of 12 years. A holy dip at the Sangam, where the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge, is believed to cleanse one of sins and grant liberation (moksha).
Guru Prasad Swami Ji, a distinguished preacher from the International Krishna Consciousness Society, remarked: “The Adani Group exemplifies corporate responsibility and social service. Gautam Adani ji stands out for his humility – he does not wait to be asked but proactively serves selflessly. We deeply appreciate his contributions. His efforts inspire us to give back to society and unite in the service of humanity.”
The Mahaprasad Seva will cater to 50 lakh devotees, with meals being prepared in two kitchens located in and outside the Mela area.
Distribution of Mahaprasad will occur at 40 locations within the Mahakumbh area, with 2,500 volunteers participating in this noble initiative.
