Mumbai, April 17 (NationPress) The Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar announced the esteemed awards for actors Anupam Kher and Kajol, along with director, producer, and actor Mahesh Manjrekar.

Anupam Kher will receive the distinguished Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award, while Kajol will be honored with the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award. The awards come with cash prizes of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 6 lakh respectively.

Mahesh Manjrekar is set to be awarded the Chitrapati V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement award, which includes a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, a memento, citation, and a commemorative silver medal.

Additionally, leading Marathi actress Mukta Barve will receive the Chitrapati V Shantaram Special Contribution Award, which also includes Rs 6 lakh, a memento, citation, and commemorative silver medal.

This year, the Ganasamragni Lata Mangeshkar Award, established in 1993, will be granted to the veteran Marathi ghazal singer Bhimrao Panchale. This honor includes a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, along with a memento, citation, and shawl.

The awards ceremony will take place in a grand event in Mumbai on April 25.

Moreover, the Department will organize a special musical tribute on April 20 at 6.30 p.m. at the Gateway of India, Mumbai, to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of the Constitution and the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Prominent artists including Suresh Wadkar, Adarsh Shinde, Vaishali Samant, Urmila Dhangar, and Nandesh Umap will perform, with Subodh Bhave hosting the event. It will feature musical performances, theatrical presentations, and dance shows inspired by the life of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
